Agusta Aerospace Corporation, an international helicopter manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer at our site in Philadelphia, PA.

Responsibilities:

• Define vendors and award Purchase Orders for Materials//Parts within his commodities group
• Advise and represent AAC in negotiations with vendors
• Analyze reports to obtain current information concerning all phases of procurement to control budget, procurement objectives, and effective procurement techniques
• Supervise and oversee the work of assigned group: 1) Monitor quantity and quality of work, 2) Review buying activity, 3) Instruct and direct buyers and provide feedback to same.
• Identify problem areas and recommend solutions with the Procurement Manager
• Direct work generated by assigned group to insure accuracy and compliance with requisitions from factories of the Group and procurement policies and procedures

Qualifications

Education: BA in Business or related

Experience: 8 years of procurement from high-tech manufacturing industry with minimum 3 years in aerospace industry

Skills – Required:

• Proven Supervisory experience
• Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field from high-tech manufacturing industry
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Well organized and adaptable with a flexible approach
• Good pc skills

Skills – Preferred:

• CPM
